Wickford on the Water: Private Events in North Kingstown, RI
Wickford on the Water is a waterfront restaurant on Wickford Cove in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and it hosts private events for groups of up to 50. It sits on Brown Street in Wickford Village, across from the Wickford Town Landing, so the cove is part of the backdrop for every gathering.
For a rehearsal dinner, a birthday brunch or a small company get-together, it's a relaxed, coastal option that doesn't feel like a banquet hall.
Why Wickford on the Water Works for Private Events
The setting is the main draw. You get water views from the dining room and outdoor seating looking out over the cove, which is hard to find for a group this size in South County.
The atmosphere is casual and cozy rather than formal. That makes it a good fit for groups that want good food and a view without a lot of ceremony.
Food and Drinks
The menu leans toward American dishes and seafood. Lunch and dinner are served daily, and breakfast and brunch on weekends. There's a full bar and full kitchen, and the listing notes that events can be set up with custom arrangements.
One planning note: outside food and beverage aren't allowed, so your cake and drinks will come through the restaurant.
Event Space and Group Size
Wickford on the Water hosts groups of up to 50 guests. The listing describes the venue as a fit for small to mid-sized gatherings using both the deck and indoor areas.
The restaurant is family-friendly and kid-friendly, which helps for showers, family reunions and birthday parties with mixed ages. The listing also says event bookings are available outside regular business hours, so you can ask about timing that doesn't overlap with service.
