Our Story

The idea behind RestauRent was shaped by more than a decade of hospitality and startup experience, but inspired by a deeply personal moment. When founder Nick Cianfaglione saw the difficulty his mother faced while coordinating a memorial dinner for a loved one, he began imagining a simpler way for people to discover and book venues for life’s most important gatherings. With the help of entrepreneur and marketing technology executive Ann-Marie Harrington and early pilot user and restaurateur Ed Brady, the first version of RestauRent was born.

Joined soon after by co-founders Will Tondo and Kacie Galligan, the team began expanding across their home state of Rhode Island—helping people find the right spaces for private events while giving venues a better way to market and manage their event business. Through grassroots events, boots-on-the-ground outreach, multiple rounds of fundraising, and a shared entrepreneurial spirit, RestauRent has grown far beyond its Rhode Island roots. Today, the platform has helped facilitate more than 65,000 event bookings and supports over 2,000 venues nationwide.
