Holiday party venues in New York City range from a Midtown rooftop with a retractable glass roof to a supercar showroom on the West Side. The 10 Manhattan venues below are all on RestauRent and cover everything from an intimate team dinner to a 300-person company party. Planning on the other side of the bridge? See our Brooklyn holiday party guide.

Tips for Booking a Holiday Party in NYC

  • Book early. December Thursdays and Fridays go first in Manhattan, so lock in your date as soon as you can.

  • Think about the commute. Pick a venue near the subway lines most of your guests use, especially for an after-work party.

  • Ask about coat check. Winter coats take up space fast in a full room.

  • Check both capacities. A seated dinner and a standing reception can hold very different numbers in the same space.

Elsie Rooftop sits on the 25th floor of 1412 Broadway, a short walk from Bryant Park, with views of the Empire State Building and Times Square. The design nods to interior designer Elsie de Wolfe, with antique mirrors, parquet floors and vintage chandeliers.

A retractable glass roof and firepits keep the terrace usable in December. Expect crafted cocktails and small plates, and space for up to 400 guests. Note that it's 21+.

Kyma brings Greek and Mediterranean cooking to West 35th Street, with whole fish, seafood and mezze served in a bright, high-ceilinged dining room.

It's close to the Hudson Yards office towers, which makes it an easy pick for a client dinner or team celebration. Choose a semi-private area or a full buyout for up to 125 guests. Coat check and AV are listed too.

Gelso & Grand on Grand Street in Little Italy serves handmade pasta, wood-fired pizza and Italian wine in a lively trattoria-style dining room.

The bonus is Sotto Social Club, a private cocktail lounge downstairs with its own bar. Start with dinner upstairs, then move the party down a level. The venue hosts up to 300 guests.

If you want a holiday party nobody will confuse with last year's, Manhattan Motorcars on 11th Avenue puts your guests among Porsches, Bentleys, Lamborghinis and Rolls-Royces. Each showroom works as its own event space:

  • Porsche Showroom: 125 seated or 300 standing

  • Rolls-Royce Showroom: 120 seated or 250 standing

  • Bentley Showroom & Lounge: 85 seated or 200 standing

  • Lamborghini Showroom: 60 seated

Other Half's Rockefeller Center taproom at 600 Fifth Avenue is booked as a full buyout only, so the whole room is yours for up to 80 guests. The bar pours Other Half draft beer, wine and cocktails.

Food can come from Rockefeller Center restaurants, and there's an optional candle-making add-on if you want an activity. It's a natural fit for an after-work party near the tree.

Champagne Problems at 207 Bowery is a multi-level cocktail bar with oversized champagne bottles, a giraffe and a climbable champagne glass. It's built for photos.

There are two private rooms plus semi-private areas and full buyouts for up to 300 guests, with a strong bubbly list. It's 21+, so save it for the office party rather than the family one.

Amélie on West 8th Street is a French bistro and wine bar with warm lighting and a deep list of French and international wines.

Groups can book semi-private space or the whole restaurant for up to 100 guests. Add a guided tasting or sommelier pairings for a holiday dinner that feels more personal than a banquet hall.

Ivan Ramen brings chef-driven Tokyo-style ramen and izakaya plates to Clinton Street on the Lower East Side.

Prix fixe and family-style menus pair with sake, Japanese whisky and cocktails. It takes semi-private groups or a full buyout for up to 60, a good size for a team dinner.

Eataly SoHo on Lafayette Street offers semi-private dining areas inside its Italian marketplace, with menus served family-style or coursed.

Two packages keep planning simple: the Classico menu at $85 per guest and the Tradizionale at $100, which adds a pasta or pizza course and two secondi. Drink packages range from espresso and Italian sodas to wine and cocktails.

Not every team wants a white-tablecloth dinner. Down the Hatch is a basement dive bar on West 4th Street known for its Atomic Wings, beer pong and darts.

The backroom holds 30 seated or 40 standing, and a full buyout takes up to 200. Wing and drink packages keep the budget in check.
